about

Emily's story

Emily is a dancer-turned-singer/actress based in New York City. Originally from Garnet Valley, Pennsylvania, Emily started taking dance classes at age 3 and nothing has been able to stop her since. It wasn’t until her sophomore year of high school, however, that she began performing in plays, musicals, and choirs, but when the bug bit, it bit her hard. Emily’s dreams of becoming a mechanical engineering (with the end-goal being to design rollercoasters, obviously) were quickly replaced with some bigger and better Broadway dreams. She attended Tulane University in New Orleans and graduated in 2014 with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Musical Theatre.

During her time as an undergraduate, Emily performed numerous roles in “straight” plays, musicals, and dance concerts across the departments of Theatre, Dance, and Music at Tulane. She also spent much of her time performing with community and regional theatres in New Orleans, most notably as Diana Morales in A Chorus Line at Tulane Summer Lyric Theatre. She is a proud founding member of both the Tulane Undergraduate Performing Arts Society and the Tulane Musical Performance Organization, having served on the original executive boards of both clubs. She made her choreography debut with Tulane University’s Spring 2013 production of Spring Awakening and has continued to choreograph for Tulane’s Musical Theatre Workshop and for Tulane Little Lyric Theatre.

When she’s not performing, Emily honestly doesn’t really know what to do with herself. If you have any suggestions for new hobbies that she should try to pick up, please feel free to send them her way.
